Event Details & Winners

The Italian Grand Prix is one of the most significant races on the Formula 1 calendar, as it has been held annually since 1921. This year’s race will be the 92nd time that it has been held, and it falls on the 75th anniversary of Ferrari. The constructor is the most successful in this race, as they have claimed victory on 20 occasions. Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton are the joint most successful drivers in the history of the race, as they have claimed five victories apiece.

Drivers will complete 190 miles throughout the Italian Grand Prix, which is made up of 53 laps. There are two DRS zones to help for overtaking in the race, and last year’s edition made up one of the most memorable podiums of the season. Daniel Ricciardo won the race for McLaren, with teammate Lando Norris finishing second.

Leading Contenders

Max Verstappen has been extremely dominant in previous races this season, and he comes into this race looking for a fifth straight success. The Dutchman already appears to be the champion in waiting, as he landed a killer blow to Leclerc’s chances with victory in the Dutch Grand Prix last weekend. Verstappen was extremely dominant in that race, as he started on pole, and easily moved into the lead.

Hamilton takes an engine penalty this weekend, which means that he looks to be out of the hunt. Ferrari will need a big performance in front of their home fans this weekend, and Leclerc looks to be their main chance. However, the Ferrari driver is without a victory since landing the Austrian Grand Prix before the summer break.

Italian Grand Prix Prediction

It’s so hard to see past Verstappen this weekend, as the Dutchman has been in stunning form over the past couple of weeks. It could be another routine victory for the Red Bull driver, as Ferrari settle for second and third on the podium.
